Wanted...dead or alive...OK NOT DEAD

So he was replaced and now the replacement needs to be replaced?????? What the hell? I just don't get it. He never ate, had white stringy feces. This is not fun. I think we may end up with a species tank...a FREAKIN shrimp species tank. At least they don't die!

I've been replaced

Ken and Linny came by. They replaced the dead Cardinal. Whew...looks like the 2 big ones pick on the one little guy quite a bit so hopefully this will deter them. They sure are cool!

One down...lets hope this isn't history repeating itself

We lost a Banggai last night. He hadn't really eaten since we got him, was pretty reclusive, and now he is dead. This had better not be a sign of things to come...no really! Anyone want a good used salt water tank...kidding but man o man.

Banggai Cardinals

WOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO we actually got some fishies!!!!!!!!!! 4 Banggai Cardinals to be exact. We added them to the tank tonight...they have eaten already so I think that is a good sign. Lynnie picked some really nice ones for us. Would like to have a few more but can't have too many fish. Lets hope these survive. We do have more to add but have to add all at the same time...so have to wait til Ken and Lynnie have them all, since our Kole Tang jumped ship and our Pygmy Cherub Angel got chewed up will be a bit of a wait until all of our fish are ready. We are adding them together due to aggressiveness and territories. What we have to add;
1 Kole Tang
1 Coral Beauty instead of the Pygmy Cherub Angel
1-2 Clowns...not sure if will be False Perc's or Saddleback
1 Six Line Wrasse
1 Jawfish
POSSIBLY 1 Fairy Wrasse haven't exactly decided yet
and that is it.....wait and see what happens next

I'll have the shrimp in a white wine sauce

Added a couple more shrimp today from Ken and Lynnie. Have taken our chances with a Coral Banded Shrimp (when I say takin our chances...they tend to steal food from anemones and hastle them a bit) and we added another Skunk Cleaner Shrimp for Jacques to have a buddy. All are eating and doing well, the Coral Banded is a bit shy but is always on the offense in case you ARE thinkin of catchin him for a snack! Very Cool. My cute little Pygmy Cherub Angel is just waiting for me to take it home...not yet...have to be patient! And our Kole Tang is in. WOW is it cool! Have to wait for the clownfish to arrive and the Jawfish, our 6 line is ready anytime now. Wait and see!

Can we get fishies yet???

FINALLY! Our tank is OK. We had Ken and Lynnie over last night to re-arrange the rock. Now that our Nitrate/Nitrite/dK etc etc are all good, they fixed up the arrangement of the rock (too chicken to do it ourselves...our poor little creatures....we may have killed them) now it looks like a nice stack of rock going up the overflow..not a pile of rubble...! It looks great. The anemones look better too...up higher as well as the coral. And the feather dusters? Totally way out there to see. Very cool. So after they totally work over our tank, they put on the new skimmer. NICE SKIMMER! Got it all up and running, checked all of our levels...and wallah! Then time for the invoice...ouch this is gonna hurt...they worked on the rock for over 2.5 hours...and the skimmer....yah all we paid for was the skimmer....they didn't charge us for the work done on the rock and setup, because we are "their customers"! Can you believe it. These people are great! Any new salt water enthusiast should get to know Ken and Lynnie. They are FANTASTIC!!!! Our tank looks great and is doing great. Now, just keep watchin and we'll start to add fish! YAY
